Checklist for Your Wedding

What advantages are for members? First of all, you are making a promise to someone you love right here, in your church home, inviting God to be at the center of your marriage. That is a pretty great thing itself. Additionally, normally if you or you immediate family have been an active member for a year or more, then there are substantial breaks to the costs of the wedding. Someone may ask, "What is an active member?" That means someone who has actually joined the church family and has regularly attended worship in the last year and has been an active part of the church family (and is not listed as an "inactive member" or who has been removed from the church membership).
When are the fees due? A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your wedding date. June and Spring weddings often book a year or more in advance, so be sure to act early. Final payment of all fees are expected no later than 7 days before the wedding date. The office manager or wedding coordinator will provide you with the total amount due. What about the Pastors? Members may request either Pastor (or both Pastors) to conduct their wedding. The Pastors are thrilled to conduct your wedding and provide this as their gift from them, to you, as their wedding gift. If you would like to give them a small honorarium as a token of thanks, that is certainly allowed but is certainly not required. What about the Wedding License? NO weddings (except a renewal of vows) will be conducted without a valid wedding license. We highly encourage that the license be provided to one of the Pastors as early as possible, but never later than the start of the rehearsal.
Fees for a Wedding When the bride, groom, or at least one of their parents have been active members of the church for one year or more, the following fees apply. Use of Worship Center or Chapel facilities: No Charge Clergy: For counseling, rehearsal, wedding service: No Charge Organist: $150.00 Wedding Coordinator: $100.00 Custodian for wedding and rehearsal: $50.00 Sound System Operator (if needed): $75.00 (If additional meetings or rehearsals are required, add $25.00 per occurrence.) Fellowship Hall and/or Kitchen Use of Fellowship Hall No Charge Kitchen – Deposit: $50.00 Wedding Coordinator: $100.00 Custodian: $100.00
