9:40-10:40 A.M.-"The Church in Study"- Sabbath School Lesson Study (for all ages)
- Be thankful for the assets and blessings you do have. If you have a handicap, consider it a lemon to make lemonade. If you have a problem, it’s a stepping-stone to make you stronger, wiser, or better for going beyond.
- Because of your different background and experience, you are unique. Pray for insight to maximize that singular contribution that you alone can make. You are well equipped, computer, receivers, etc.
- Your ability to be of service and use to others enhances your value. Even without ability to be of service, your buoyancy of spirit, smiles, and happiness can lift others.
- Value is established by the creator-designer and the one who pays. True in the material world, this also applies to individuals. “I know I’m good ‘cause God don’t make no junk!”
- Dress up: How you look in the mirror affects how you think of yourself. Neatness and cleanliness are more important than the latest fashion.
- Smile: It affects your appearance as much as your clothes. Practice this regardless of how you feel-it will affect your attitude toward life.
- Feed your mind with positive thoughts. Read the Bible and other great literature that inspires. Listen to speakers or tapes that do the same.
- Visualize the person you want to become… AND ACT LIKE THAT PERSON! Pretending prepares the way for becoming… Laugh and you will be happy.
- Do the thing you fear…. The big #1 that needs most to be done. Stalked in their dreams by a tiger, many would find it go away if they would turn and face it.
- Associate with positive people of good moral character, unless it is for the sake of helping the other person. You become like those around you.
- Stand up and speak out for things that you believe in. If you haven’t you will be amazed how your words affect you.
- Visualize failures as a learning process rather than an obstacle to your goals in life. Failure is finding, successfully, ways that won’t work. It is temporary unless we accept it.
