"TREASURED WOMAN FELLOWSHIP"

Join us for a time of sister-sister fellowship, prayer, study, discussion, support, social gatherings, fun and closeness as we support each other in our walk with the Lord and in our daily lives.

        * September 2008 -    Treasured Sisters Fellowship on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday nights of each month.  Join us for a time of sharing, study, praise, prayer and encouragement as we form new friendships and enrich old ones.  This is a time you can just be yourself and find the love and support of other Christian woman that every woman truly needs.  Social events to include book clubs, movie and dinner outings, fellowship potlucks, travel, seminars, holiday get togethers and much more!

       * Monthly "Dinner wtih Friends" Club - Join us as we enjoy a different local restaurant monthly for a time of fellowship and fun.  And Girls, this is the time to schedule your "reward meal" for the week if you are adhering to a special fitness plan.  Some sort of chocolate is mandatory by the end of the evening!!!!!

     * Christian Singles Harvest Feast at Thanksgiving -  Join other single Christians as we give thanks to the Lord for all His blessings.  Many people are alone during this time and it can be quite a struggle, so we will come together in CELEBRATION of all God's abundance to share in delicious holiday favorites, have a time of fellowship and worship the Lord together as the body of Christ.  Email for details at karenh@treasuredwomannetwork.org .

    * CHRISTMAS GLOW -   As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, join us for night of candles aglow, beauty and wonder, as we come together for an evening of carols, holiday goodies, fun and fellowship to honor the Christmas season together.  Detail to come!

After many years of ministering to women in difficult places in their lives, I found the need for a book, booklet or tract that would present the Gospel message clearly, concisely and effectively, but with warmth.  It needed to be affordable and easy to read.  I also didn't want it to be too overwhelming for someone unfamiliar with Christian lingo or  theology.  When I became acquainted with Mr. Jantzi's writing, I realized I had found exactly what I had been praying for.   His unique writing style appeals to all levels of seekers.  It is comprehensive, covering all aspects of what it means to find, accept and live the Christian life. 

I was so excited the first time I read it and thought "Aha!  Here is what I have needed for years!" It was like getting my favorite perfume at Christmas (Yes,  a little shameless hint to my children! Smile.)  His writing will be posted on our site and there are future plans to have it available in a very woman friendly (code for really pretty!) booklet.  I believe this will be an important tool for TWN and for your outreach as well.  Just think if you have a friend asking about the Lord, you might make a Friendship Basket and include this lovely booklet and share a cup of tea with her......in truth sharing LIFE with her because you care!

As I think about the women who will visit our site and become a part of this ministry outreach, I'd love to know what you really want from a ministry to women....

• How can we help you?
• What brings you to a women's web site?
• What is most important in your life?
• How can we stay relevant to you in practical ways?
• Are we equipping you with sound Biblical teaching and resources to help you grow in the Lord and apply what you learn in your daily life?
• How can we help you in the area of prayer?
• Are you interested in receiving daily devotionals and organizational tools?

 All these questions lead to one thing - how can we best serve you?

Throughout my life - whether in my family, ministry or business - there were times I felt very isolated.   Being surrounded by ministry, there seemed to be no where I could really go and just be myself.......the good, the bad and the ugly of it all!  I wanted to live a positive, godly life that would be a witness for the Lord, but there were  many times when I couldn't share the real heartache I felt.  I feared letting God and others down.  As I  learned that Jesus felt despair at times, I realized feeling sadness or hurt isn't wrong.  Sharing it in a God honoring way brings healing.  As we open ourselves up to connection and encouragement, we find our burdens are made lighter  from the support and love we find in others.  He loved me through it all and gently taught me His ways.  He will do the same for you, Dear One!

Today, if you are overwhelmed with stress or problems and feel you "should be strong enough"  to handle it alone (as I did most of the time), FIIRST PRAY and talk to the Lord who loves you  most.   Then, reach out to others you know are mature believers and seek counsel and encouragement.  You can also contact TWN and we will do our best to assist you and stand in prayer for your needs.  

 Even  from a distance, we are here to be your friends and sisters.  Much of God's Word was written to believers who were not present in the same place together.  God's love knows no distance.  Prayer is not bound by time and space.  TWN is here just for you, for women like you and for women like me too......here to shine God's light in the dark places we sometimes find ourselves in.......to PRAY with you.......and also to CELEBRATE the joys of being a Treasured Woman of God today!  I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.  You have sisters here who love you.
