How long is long hair? Answer: As long as your hair will grow without being cut.

What if I've already cut my hair? Stop. What if my hair is broken and has split ends? Style them. What if I colored my hair? Quit. What if I don't think I'm attractive with long hair? Pray. What if I am too clumsy to do cute things with my hair? Practice.

How long is long enough? Answer: As long as your hair will grow without being cut.

What if my hair is thick and heavy? Try half-up, half-down do's. What if I have layered hair now? Use what you've got. What if my hair is unruly and frizzes? Leave in conditioner. What if my friends cut their hair? So what. What if I think short hair is cute? Admire it on boys.

How long is too long? Answer: Once you start appreciating the hair God allows to grow on your head you will not ask this question...

What if people tease me? Laugh. What if my hairstyle looks a bit off? Forget about perfection! What if I get headaches? Rest. What if the ends look thin? Curl 'em, Stuff 'em or Fluff 'em...

Hair is and always has been a symbol of vitality and beauty. It will become thinner and grow back slower with less pigment as you age. Figure out how to enjoy it now, and give God thanks for your hair every single day!

1 Corinthians 11:14-15
"Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering."  (KJV)

1 Corinthians 11:14-15 signifies "to let the hair grow long, to wear long hair," a glory to a woman, a dishonor to a man (as taught by nature).

When Paul speaks further of contention, he is speaking of the rules of natural decency. The custom Paul is referring to is that of the Church, the body of Christ, cherished, holy and empowered with divine wisdom. This custom in the church is the common practice of self-government: decent, moral, pure and virtuous. Contention, quarrels and debates for worldly customs are provoked by the desire for self-importance and a self-centered goal breeds contempt for simple elegance. From such, turn away.

2 Timothy 3:4-6
"Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,"
(KJV)

HAIR FACTS:

  • Hair grows approximately .5 inches per month on average.
  • Regular sleep, 6-8 hours every night, helps your hair grow.
  • Scalp massages, from the nape of the neck to the top of your head, stimulate the scalp and allows more oxygen to the hair follicles.
  • A lot of stress, even short term, can cause hair loss.
  • The hair begins to die as it emerges from the follicle.
  • Trimming your hair does not make it grow faster.
  • Split ends have no end and natural hair cannot be mended.
  • Conditioning shampoo and conditioner treatments will improve hair sheen and body.
  • Nutrition is important to hair, as is drinking water often every day.
  • Biotin, a water-soluble vitamin or B-complex, does tend to help some people grow hair.
  • Vitamins and minerals must be ingested in the body not applied to the hair.
  • Long hair is lower maintenance than short styles and is more versatile.
  • Long hair tells men that you are a woman not a boy.
  • Short hair removes obvious femininity and tends to make women look older.
  • A loose, tousled hair updo with radiant fresh skin is red-carpet posh!
