New River Wesleyan Church

Rev. Dominique Innocent was elected by an unanimous vote as the next pastor of New River Wesleyan. The Innocent's will officially begin their duties on July 15th!

The New River "family" is passionate about Worship. Whether it is VBS, a missons outreach, special events, or a regular service, we love to "lift the name of Jesus!" Join us this coming Sunday to experience a "Spirit-filled" service.

New River Wesleyan is a fellowship of believers who come from various countries and ethnic groups. Regardless of where we are from, it is where we are going that is important. Racism or biases do not have a place in our family. We come together in the bond of Christ, to worship Him.

The services are traditional with a Caribbean "flavor." Handclapping, tambourines, percussion instruments and other forms of expression are used to glorify the "King of Kings." From the multi-media presentations to hymn books, we are committed to minister to all age groups. The people who attend NRW love to express their praise by lifting hands toward Heaven, while others may audibly lift their voice of thanksgiving. Others are quiet and sense the special ministering of the Holy Spirit to them in their own way.

New River Wesleyan is a family church with a vibrant children's ministry and youth group. We love people! Join us and sense the warmth of God's family. You will be glad you did!

Special Announcement - The Local Board of Administration has formally announced that assistant pastor, Rev. Dominique Innocent has been selected as the candidate to be presented to the congregation and membership as the next pastor of New River Wesleyan Church.

Rev. Innocent will be speaking in the morning service on March 25th and will be voted on by the congregation/membership on April 1, 2012.

Pastor Innocent is married to Elisa Grant Innocent and they have two children, Danecia and Daylon. Pastor Innocent has served here at NRW most recently for two years as an assistant pastor. He had also served previously at NRWC for approx. one year prior to serving as an associate pastor at St. Mary's Wesleyan Methodist Church in Miami, Florida.

If elected as the next pastor, Rev. Innocent will succeed Dr. Phillip Gray as Senior Pastor. Dr. Gray has served NRWC for over eleven years and felt it was time for a transition in leadership. Please pray as Dr. Gray seeks God's leadership for his future.
