Worry, or Worship?

"O our God, wilt Thou not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do; but our eyes are upon Thee!"

2 Chronicles 20:12

Ponder This...

The enemy would love to get you worrying instead of worshiping God.  When the devil brings you thoughts of worry, anxiety and fear, let them be a reminder for you to thank God that His answer is on the way.  Say, "devil, thank you for reminding me!" and then say, "Father, I thank You that You are at work on my behalf!"  That's what King Jehoshaphat did.  The people of Judah were surrounded by three major armies, and things looked pretty bleak for them.  This godly king was probably bombarded with thoughts of fear and anxiety, just as many of us are today.  But, he gathered the people together, lifted his eyes toward heaven and prayed the simple prayer that is today's verse.  Jehoshaphat's prayer was ANSWERED!!  God instructed the people to march right into the enemy's camp, SINGING and SHOUTING PRAISES on their way...NOTICE, THEY WEREN'T WORRYING - THEY WERE WORSHIPING!!! AND GOD DELIVERED THEM!!!

On That Day...

And He said to the people, when ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, there cometh a shower; and so it is.  And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, there will be heat; and it cometh to pass.  Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?  Yea, and why of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

Ponder This...

In the Book of Luke, when a multitude of people gathered together and crowded around Jesus to hear His teachings, He spoke to them about being "faithful and wise stewards"  - meaning, that we must live our lives in such a way that will prepare us for "The Coming of Our Lord"...

Today, we have technology that can predict the weather and even see into outer space.  But, can we predict when our Lord and Saviour, The One who created and gave us this world we live in, will step into our midst?  If you knew that Our Lord and Saviour was going to physically "pay us a visit" today, what would you change about your behavior?  Would you want to be caught with hatred in your heart, or evil thoughts in your mind?  Would you try to "dress up" so God could see how important and prosperous you are?  Would He feel "at home" in your church?  Would the wars stop - on that day?  Which of the world powers would be most powerful - on that day?  Would money matter at all - on that day?

There is no technology that can predict His Coming, no amount of money that can buy His Favor and no power on earth, greater than...

His Almighty Power!

Just look at the sky, the trees and flowers, the ocean, or feel the force of the wind, or witness the power of a terrible storm, or hear a bird sing...

Almighty God, is the Author of it all.
