In Genesis 35:16-29, we read of the birth of Rachel's second son.  She named him Ben-Oni which means son of my trouble.  But his father named him Ben-Yamin (Benjamin) which means son of my right hand. This took place on the way to Ephrath, that is Bethlehem.

What a shadow-picture of the two comings of Messiah.  In the very place of His birth (Beth-lekhem=house of bread), we see His two roles: Messiah son of Yosef and Messiah son of David.  Both of these roles were known to the rabbis of old and are explained in the Talmud.
