Sunday services are just the beginning at Hope EFC. We have varied ministry opportunities throughout the week.
AWANA / WOMEN OF HOPE / MEN'S MINISTRY
AWANA is a very popular Bible Club that meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., September to April. The clubs are divided into age groups as follows:
Cubbies: ages 3 & 4 (co-ed)
Sparks: grades K, 1 & 2 (co-ed)
Truth in Training
Pals: grades 3 & 4 (boys)
Chums: grades 3 & 4 (girls)
Pioneers: grades 5 & 6 (boys)
Guards: grades 5 & 6 (girls)
Each AWANA evening is divided into three segments...
Game Time: Where the children can release their natural energy and enthusiasm.
Handbook Time: AWANA emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses. Clubbers are rewarded for their achievements as they progress through the handbooks.
Council Time: The club gathers for a bible message, singing and club information.
It is the desire of our women's ministry to build Godly women who with their individual gifts and talents will encourage one another and reach the world for Christ. We have many opportunities ranging from fun and fellowship, Bible studies, special outreach events and our missionary support work.
Please feel free to contact the church office for upcoming activities.
All women are welcome!
The men normally meet the second Saturday morning of each month. The ministry has two major components -- ministry to the men and ministry by the men to our widows.
Ministry to the men: We meet for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. We enjoy food and fellowship together and then we spend some time considering how the Bible applies to our roles as men. After being fed physically and spiritually we transition to the second major component of the men's ministry...
Ministry by the men to our widows: By 9:30 a.m. those who are able to participate head out in teams to work on projects that our widows have submitted to our men's ministry coordinator. These projects are all intended to be completed by noon. This ministry approach enables us to be more intentional in meeting the needs of our widows, while still leaving time to work on the projects waiting for us at home.
All men and their children who are old enough to work independently are welcome to participate in either component of this ministry.
Check the church calendar or call the church office to verify the date and location of our next breakfast meeting -- then join us!
