MALLARD CHURCH COUNCIL MINUTES
The Mallard church council met in regular session April 17 at 7p.m. and called to order by chair, George Zech. Nine members were in attendance. Prayer concerns were heard, then prayer was led by Pastor Evelyn.
Minutes were read and approved. The financial report was presented showing a balance on hand of $1577.87 with all bills paid up to date. A reminder that we need almost $5000 per month to meet the budget.
Discussion on the renovation project was held. Work is rapidly coming to a completion. Pastor Evelyn suggested we should make some price and coverage comparisons with our insurance carrier and other providers. All were in agreement that this should be done.
There was discussion on a slight change in starting time for church services during daylight savings time. There will be several options to talk about and they will be presented at church several Sunday mornings for your information and input.
We were reminded of our annual Birthday party at church on May 4th with Marilyn Morey in charge. We hope to be in the new addition then so we can celebrate that also.
Next meeting is May 21 at 8p.m. ~Hans Appel, sec'y~

Please know of my continuing support of and prayers for your fruitful ministry. God is at work through you and I am persuaded along with the Apostle Paul that “the one who began a good work in you will complete that work.
I remain,
Your servant in Jesus Christ,

ARE WE READY FOR SOME SIDEWALK!!!!
Excitement will soon be mounting as we begin to plan and train for this summer and our two (Yes, TWO) Sidewalk ministry sites. We have the opportunity to be in mission right where we are in Mallard and West Bend this summer. Last summer we “stepped out” in faith and learned that God is good as we shared and cared for those who gathered at the Mallard City Park on Monday afternoons. We kick off our summer in Mallard on Monday, June 2 at 1:00. This summer we are adding an additional site at the West Bend Shelter house (near the pool) on Tuesday at 1:00 beginning on June 3. In this newsletter you will find a bright green signup sheet with dates, times, and opportunities. I pray we can all find a way to be in ministry to our community and our neighbors as we serve the Lord this summer. Take some time TODAY to look over the volunteer opportunities and say YES to giving Sidewalk a hand this summer.
Please return your volunteer sheet to Pastor or the office as soon as possible. Thanks!!!
