Perhaps this is a tiny glimpse of heaven: people coming together to worship and praise their Creator. Not bound by nationality, education, economic standing, worship styles nor anything else. Just God’s created ones worshiping Him through His marvelous gift of music. It is a privilege to be a part of this group and to stand with others in our community.
It’s been a tough start in the New Year, saying goodbye to two of our very faithful members. Paul Juriga and Ada Tharp are sorely missed, but we thank God for their presence in our lives and for the legacy that each of them leaves to us. God be with them and their families during these days.
The Worship Ministries Board reorganized for 2012 and they have already begun planning for the concerts series, MUSICAMP and other events for 2012. Members of the board this year are Jack Davidson, Erin Hudson, Bob Olson, Shelby Smith and Joan Moreau along with your minister of music.
On other notes…
· The monthly worship service at Primrose Retirement Community continues to be a delight. 17 residents attended the service in January and we continue to enjoy a great relationship with both the folks and the staff there.
· We’re always looking for new choir members and now is a GREAT TIME to come to choir. One hour a week – 7 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday and before church on Sunday is all it takes. We’re starting music for Easter shortly, so come be a part of the group!
Gracious Loving Father, all around us we catch glimpses of Your glory, of Your love for us and of the good things You have in store for us. As we continue throughout this year, open our eyes to Your Presence with us wherever we are, and in all these things, we will give You praise, amen.
