The Young Adults group age 18 years old and graduated from high school and up to 40 years old.

The Second Baptist Church of Peoria, IL has a new program to reach and witness to the Young Adults. Where the young professionals and college students can be a part of a community and a family! Where we can search for something to believe in and focus on during these trying times. We can grow true relationships, network and spiritually expand our purpose and understanding in this troubled world.

A place where there is and where we can make our world a little better in our community and beyond. The sole purpose is to provide a support team, a place to talk, a spiritual awareness with intent. Come as you are! Where you can be yourself and enjoy the love of God with open arms.

The coming events and gatherings are as followed:

October 3, 2009, spaghetti dinner at the Zilch’s residence in Farmington, IL at 7pm to 10pm (bring your creative ideas for the group’s logo and banner)

October 17, 2009 wiener roast at the Grimshaw’s residence in Edwards, IL at 7pm to 10pm with a guest speaker: Brother John Lafollette

November 7, 2009 a music video viewing of Johnny Cash’s last video “Hurt” at 7pm to 10pm at the residence of Sister Marsha Brinkler’s in E. Peoria. IL. (bring your favorite snake foods and soft drinks)

November 21, 2009 young adults are having a chili and soup dinner in Second Baptist Church’s Fellowship Hall 6pm to 9pm (other activities all in the works check back for more details)

December 5, 2009 the young adults will be previewing two classic Christmas movies (place undetermined) time: 6:30pm until 10pm (looking for host or hosts)

December 19, 2009 young adults Christmas party place: (undetermined) time: 7pm to 10pm (looking for a host or hosts)
