Sunday Worship Opportunities

9:15 a.m. Praise and Worship Service - a contemporary format with more praise music. The message is the same as the later service but other items are streamlined to keep the service to 1 hour. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

10:45 a.m. Worship Service - a traditional worship service with familiar hymns blended with more contemporary worship choruses. This service includes a children's story and usually special music from the Adult Choir or individual members of the congregation. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

Sunday Morning Bible Classes

9:15 a.m. Classes are held for children from newborn through 5th grade in various classrooms. Two adult classes also meet at this hour - the Lighthouse class for women and the Open Circle class for all adults whether single or married.

10:45 a.m. Nursery service is provided for newborns through age 3. Children ages 3 through 5th grade begin their time in the sanctuary with the adult congregation and after the children's story exit for Junior Church. Youth, from 5th grade through senior high school, meet at 10:45 until 12:00 noon.

The adult adventurers class also meets second service for adults of all ages.

Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. TLC (Teens Loving Christ) Youth Group. A weekly meeting for youth from 7th grade through senior high school. The group meets at 6:00 p.m. during the summer months. See the link on Teens Loving Christ on the side panel for more detail.

For location of a class, look for a map posted in the church, ask one of the hosts (who will be wearing a name tag), an usher, or anyone else you see.

Tuesdays

1:00 p.m. First Tuesdays are the American Baptist Women's Ministries meetings with a variety of interesting topics.

1:00 p.m. Soul (Stitches Of Unlimited Love) quilting group meets on the other Tuesdays. Good fellowship while making beautiful quilts.

Easter Adventure

A special spiritual emphasis program that begins 50 days before Easter with weekly devotional readings, special Sunday messages and additional opportunities for Bible studies.

Easter Egg Hunt

Held on the Saturday before Easter. Open to all children through 5th grade. Eggs and candies are "hidden" in different areas for the divided age groups. Special features have included the Rainbow Family Puppets and Easter stories.

Easter Sunrise Service

A special service held at 7:00 a.m. on Easter morning. The service is designed to be reverent and uplifting. The service is followed by a breakfast served by the men of the congregation. The regular Sunday services follow the breakfast.

Pumpkin Day

A tradition the neighborhood looks forward to.

We give away pumpkins, have hay rides, apple bobbing, games, treasure hunts, food and great fun as we welcome the fall season. Held on a Saturday in October.

Children's Christmas Program

Each year the children rehearse from mid November until the second or third Sunday of December. Past programs have included the Rainbow Family Puppets and the children in Christmas musical productions.

Christmas Musical Cantata

Another major musical presentation of the Adult Choir. Held on a Sunday morning near

Christmas during the 10:45 a.m. service.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion

One of the most wonderful services of the

year. Held at 6:30 p.m., the service lasts

only one hour to allow families to still celebrate

Christmas Eve together at home.

Easter Musical Cantata

A complete musical program presented by the Adult Choir. Presented on Palm Sunday during the 10:45 a.m. service

Vacation Bible School

Held during the first week of August, for all children from age 3 through 6th grade. Sessions are held in the evening from Monday through Friday with a closing program and carnival

event on Saturday to wrap up the week. A great way to prepare your children for returning to, or starting, school. Daily lessons stand alone so children can get a complete understanding each day. Crafts, snacks, games and lots of fun for children - and the youth and adults who present the program.

Thanks Sharing Service

On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the members of the congregation are given the opportunity to speak, sing, recite, etc. to show what they are thankful for. A very moving and sentimental service each year.
