We want you to be able to experience the uplifting worship, encouraging messages, and friendly people that are a part of First Christian.

We know that your first time at a church brings up some questions like: Where do I go? What should I wear? What's available for my kids? What should I expect? Hopefully, this little bit of information will help make your first visit an enjoyable one.

Getting Here

Our facility is located on the corner of W. Boone St. and Hawthorn Rd., just south of Doctor’s Rehab and Nursing Care facility in Salem, IL. You can find a link to Directions in the menu to the left. Please feel free to park in our visitors parking area in the north parking area. One of our friendly greeters will be there with a smile. If you need childcare or are looking for a class for your kids, they'll help you find what you need. Our first worship starts at 8:15 AM, followed by Bible classes at 9:30 AM and a second worship service at 10:30 AM.

What to Wear

We're more interested in getting to know you and meeting your needs than what you wear. But just so you know, most FCC attendees come in business casual attire. So dress casually and you'll fit right in.

For Kids

Childcare is provided in our nursery and preschool area for kids from birth to 5 years during both worship services. During our 9:30AM Bible school hour, classes are available for all ages. Ask a greeter to help you find the right class.

What to Expect

Our worship service has a blend of contemporary choruses and traditional hymns. You'll also hear a practical and relevant message that you can apply to your life right away.

There is a lot to think about when you visit a church for the first time. We are friendly people and we want you to feel at home at First Christian. We want you to experience the encouragement and love that God has for you.
