At FCC we want you to feel welcome in our home from the moment you worship with us the very first time, we want you to feel like part of the family.  We have members who Love God and seek to Love each person who attends FCC, and these members are ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These ministers are dedicated to making your experience at our Church home a great one.  These ministers form the First Impressions Ministry.

Parking Lot Ministry  

We have parking lot greeters to assist all those who attend FCC as they make their way from their vehicles to the entrances of our facility.  They insure that all who attend our Church home have a positive first impression of First Christian beginning in the parking lot.

Greeter Ministry

Greeters are stationed at all the doors coming into the building in the foyer areas of the church.  These greeters open the door for people, hand them a bulletin, and give them a friendly greeting and smile.  They also direct people to the Welcome Center, Ushers, Section hosts and Care Team members.

Welcome Center Ministry

We have one attendant stationed at the Welcome Center. This person is responsible for providing information about First Christian. They may direct people to the appropriate First Impressions Ministry team member they may also assist people to a classroom or other location themselves.

Usher Ministry

Ministers who serve as ushers assist people in finding a seat in the auditorium, directing people to desired locations, keeping the service free of disruptions and distractions, and distributing attendance sheets.

Section Host Ministry

Section Hosts “adopt” a section of seats in the sanctuary.  As people are seated in that particular section, the Section Host and/or Hostess greets them in the sanctuary.  This makes the difference between someone feeling ignored and uncomfortable to someone feeling welcomed and noticed.  They may pray for you if you are in need of prayer, generally they are a minister for the section of the sanctuary in which you are sitting.

Care Team Ministry

These ministers are located in the foyer and in the sanctuary areas.  They act much the same as the Section Host, but their ministry extends beyond the church walls, they take gifts, information, and prayer to visitors and generally they seek to minister to all First Time Attenders at FCC throughout the following weeks after an initial visit to FCC.
