About Us
As a congregation within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we are part of a movement for wholeness within a fragmented world. With Jesus, we pray for the unity of God's Creation (John 17:21) and we work to help realize that unity through our life and witness.
When you walk through our doors, you'll find the warm embrace of a Christian community striving to share God's Love and serve our neighbors. Historically, our congregation has been active in the local community both through our own initiatives and by working with other charities and religious organizations. When we gather for worship on Sunday, you can expect a traditional worship service where people of all ages and backgrounds are focused on praising God! There's no dress code or requirements, just bring yourself and let God take care of the rest.
There are a few beliefs and practices that characterize the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We believe that confessing faith in Jesus Christ changes us, both inside and out. That is why we practice a "believer's baptism," where individual's , as a symbold of their new birth in Jesus Christ, are baptized following their profession of faith. We also celebrate communion every time we gather for worship. We recognize that the Lord's Table belongs to God and not to us, so we welcome everyone professing faith in Jesus Christ to that table just as God has welcomed us.
