Last year, Family In Faith's Youth Group went on a service trip to New
Orleans. They were helping in continuing rebuiding efforts after
Hurricane Katrina. Part of the group spent the week working at a church, putting up drywall and doing some electrical work. Here are some pictures of them working:
The other part of the group was working in the homes of New Orleans' residents. They worked in three different homes. In the first home they put a bamboo wood floor down in two rooms. In the second home they painted a fence and the front of the house, caulked windows, and various small jobs around the house. In the third home, this part of the group put down a tile floor and grouted two other floors. Here are some pictures of them working:
The Youth Group also had some free time while in New Orleans. They visited the French Quarter and saw areas of New Orleans that still need to be restored.
