Bethesda Asian Indian Ministry has been working among Asian Indian people, especially Telugu speaking people, to preach the Gospel who do not know Christ, and conduction regular Sunday worship centers in the Chicago land from 1998. Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Churches of NID, English District are supporting this Ministry to grow. But our primary help comes from God only.

 

“Preach the Good News to all people” is the main motive of this ministry. We have an evangelical team, who is helping our mission work with their own interest to cover this area to visit Indian grocery shops, restaurants, gas stations, and cabs, wherever Indian people are working in the Chicago area. This team works in one and one basis to hand over New Testaments, Gospel tracts, and pray with those who are in need. And this team invites them to attend special occasions like Christmas, New Year programs, Bible Study, and Sunday worship. One of the most successful ways is to invite non-Christians for family prayers. As a result, more than five non-Christians are attending our regular Sunday worship at Bethesda.

 

We have two Sunday worship centers: one is at Forest Park, IL and another is at Rogers Park, Chicago. We are also planning to open one more worship center at Des Plaines, IL. All together we have 70-90 people are attending Church worship regularly. We encourage our youth people to come forward to take the leadership and we are now having our worship in English once a month as we are worshiping in Telugu language regularly. 

 

We love to invite many new immigrants to our fellowship, by helping them to find jobs and providing ride for shipping and giving them furniture etc. We conduct ESL classes to teach them American English and how to accommodate in this new culture and claimant. 

Without your prayerful support we can’t do anything. Your contributions make much difference to our community. We need more Bibles and Gospel tracts in Telugu, Gujarat, and Hindi, English languages. We need a van to give them ride to church worship centers.
