"Our Goal is to Glorify God!"
FCC's mid-week educational program meets every Wednesday evening during the school year and is called Family TIES (Teaching, Instructing, Educating and Serving). We offer a meal at 5:30 pm and classes for all ages at 6:30 pm. Currently, Associate Minister Rob Clifton is leading a video Bible study on Genesis, Associate Minister Ben VanHyning is leading a study on the book of Ephesians, there are two classes specifically designed for women, Jim Earleywine is leading a Junior High program, and there are classes for High School students and grade school students, as well as a nursery. If you have any questions about Family TIES, or if you can volunteer to help prepare a meal, please call the church office at 662-7626.
Our FISH (Fellowship In Someone's Home) Groups and Family TIES (Mid-week) have begun meeting once again. The groups meet for fellowship and study in various homes throughout the Flora and Louisville communities. Most of the groups meet on Sunday night, but there are also groups which meet at other times. If you would like more information or would like to sign up for a group, contact Phil Leib or Rob Clifton.
Make sure to mark your calendars to attend our "Souper Bowl" party on February 7 at Oil Belt Christian Service Camp. The party will begin at 5:00 pm, and is for everyone in the FCC family. We want everyone to bring their favorite soup or a dessert to share. There will be pork burgers (for a donation to Rapha House ministries) and we will provide drinks. Admission to the party will be a can of soup (or other canned good) to be donated to the Clay County Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry. The Christian Church Clothes Closet is located at 127 W. 5th street. They distribute clothing to anyone who needs it on Tuesdays and Saturdays, every other week. Clothing for adults and children is available at the current time. The clothes closet will next be open on Tuesday, February 2, and Saturday, February 6 from 9:00 until 11:00 am. There are openings available in some important ministry areas. If you have a special skill or talent, please consider using it to glorify God and benefit our congregation and the community. If you would like to have us help you identify your spiritual gifts, we can assist with that as well. IMMEDIATE need to be filled: We NEED someone to organize greeters for Sunday mornings.
