A Biographical Sketch of Pastor Sheena P. Coleman
Sheena P. Coleman is one of God’s flaming torches of fire proclaiming the Truth of God's Word for several decades (From Sunday School Teacher and Youth Choir Musician as a teen, Youth Director, Musician and Intercessor founding various prayer groups as a young adult, to Ordained Pastor, Founder, President, and Chaplain). Divinely inspired to transcend traditional yokes, she leads and encourages women to make full use of their gifts in the body of Christ. She has a pioneering spirit where God has used her mightily in establishing women's prayer and Bible study groups, mentoring, providing counsel and comfort, facilitating retreats and ministering at numerous retreats, conferences, and local assemblies throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, nationally, and recently internationally in Ghana West Africa. She led the movement in Prayer and Leadership Breakfasts in the western suburbs of Chicago and then moved on to conduct Women Conferences locally and through out the country.
She is the Founder and President of New Abundant & Everlasting Life Ministries Inc. (a 501 c 3 non-profit organization) whose focus is family enrichment. She is a former radio hostess of Perfected Prayer and Praise and Prophetic Intercession where both aired in her hometown on several stations in Louisiana for over four years. She is a recipient of several awards and honorable mentions in Ministerial Leadership and has hosted the Women Destined to Win Conferences for seven years in Illinois and three years in her hometown in Louisiana; where she provided a platform for women to actively use their gifting and talents for the kingdom.
Her thirst for the knowledge and understanding of God was an inspiration to complete a Masters of Arts in Christian Ministry from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, IL; in addition to the Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southern University of Baton Rouge, LA.
She has a deep burden for setting the captives free for those that are physically incarcerated to mentally and financially incarcerated. God uses her mightily in that regard. She also has a passion to strongly advocate for early intervention for special needs children as well as "To Make Christ Known Via The Internet" through assisting churches and ministries with website development. She recently launched an advocacy ministry of autism awareness where she goes into churches (primarily African American churches) giving presentations on autism awareness. She has presented at Elmhurst College and this is expanding to include other colleges and universities. E-mail her for a presentation at your venue. She has been affiliated with several local and national ministries. They include ministering at events for God First Ministries with Dr. Mildred C. Harris, Evangelist Bernadine B. McGhee of Free Spirit, Pastor Rosa Bulford of New Heart International Worship Center, the late Pastor Shirley Carnes of Michigan City, IN, Pastor Barbara Wilson of Hazel Crest, IL to name a few.
She independently coordinated and provided assistance to conferences and ministered the Word of God as workshop speaker for the Christian Women Outreach Ministries of Chicago . She served on the planning committee and as one of the workshop speakers for God First Ministries Signature of Prolific Women Conference. She has also served as a member of the Illinois Executive Committee for FamilyLife, a division of Campus Crusade for Christ. With a love for the performing arts to be used as a means to worship God, she assisted in establishing the Lauren Murray Worship Art Ministries Inc. and provided mentoring for their first conference.
She has served on several Boards including the Christian Women Outreach Ministries of Chicago, the Lauren Murray Worship Art Ministries Inc., and the Argonne National Laboratory Credit Union. Her volunteer services have also included providing Chapel services for seniors at the Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville.
She retired from the Department of Energy - Chicago Office where she assisted in managing a budget of over $1 billion dollars. She is a netrepreneur involving several Internet businesses including web design and hosting, telecommunications services and products to web malls including health care products and publications. She has been married for over thirty-five years to Don F. Coleman, who is also a Pastor and together they previously pioneered a church in Naperville for several years. She is the proud mother and grandmother of two, respectively. She and her husband are rearing their grandson.
