2008 Word of the Lord – “Positioned For Greatness”

As we approached the end of 2007, the Holy Spirit began to speak to my heart over and over that this New Year (2008) will be a great year, a year of greatness. Always remember we know in part and we prophesy in part, the following is the part I believe the Father is speaking to my heart…

“As you allowed me to work in your life during 2007 and bring things to completion and end what needed to be ended to bring you to fulfillment, you have been positioned for greatness…  Many things shifted in the last few months as I began to position you to enter 2008.  For some the work of completion brought much pain and at times you wanted to give up, but for those who endured to the end, the reward shall be great!   This will be a significant and important year in your life.  And yes, this year of 2008 will be a year of greatness…all that you have been thru and all that has been completed in the past seven years has brought you to a new day and a new great beginning.

And yes, even as it is written old things have passed away, behold all things have become new…it’s time for the church to arise to new life, new assignments, new anointing, new beginnings, new vision, new understanding of purpose, great wisdom and knowledge.   This year will be remarkable in magnitude, to the degree of effectiveness in the earth, for In the past the church has experienced periodic victory, but the degree of effectiveness is about to increase greatly.  Souls will be saved in a wave of evangelism, greater than ever before...Many shall run to the light wanting to be saved.   Many will see the greatness of My love and My power thru my church.

Great grace will be released in 2008, great mercy and great doors of opportunity to preach the gospel, to touch the nations.  It’s time for my people to arise in greatness and do what I have ordained for them to do.  For it is written “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father”

This is the year of greater works and the importance of the works that will be done in the spirit and the earth will have a long lasting effect.   What you do in this year of New Beginnings will continue for generations, having a long lasting effect on many people for the sake of the Kingdom.  This is a significant, important, life changing year.   A powerful year, a pivotal year filled with great expectations, great demonstrations and great victory!

So arise my people and take your place… I have called and positioned you for greatness…your latter years were only the time of preparation for the greatest year that you have ever walked in…Your latter will truly be greater than your past.  “
