Wisdom Nuggets - Prophetess Helen Mitchell

I heard the Holy Spirit speak to my heart these words one day: 

"A hardened heart is a dangerous weapon"

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."  Heb 3:12-15 (NKJV)

Many times we become our own worse enemy.  Our hearts are hardened to the things of God because of wrong attitudes, misunderstanding, offense, unforgiveness, bitterness and we become angry with God and others.  It causes us to say and do things to hurt others while the final result is that we not only hurt others, but ourselves. A hardened heart is a dangerous weapon because it keeps us from the rest and the best of God for our lives.  We must guard our hearts with all diligence.  Let us all here His voice and obey His Word.
