First Presbyterian of St. Anne

Join Us In Sharing God's Love

We are a church with an early beginning and a bright future.

The church was founded by Rev. Charles Chiniquy in 1860.  In March of 1893, a committee was formed to build a bigger church.  The new church (and our present building) was dedicated in December 1893.

Since most of our charter members were settlers who had come from Quebec, Canada, Sunday worship services in our church were conducted in French until 1917.

Our church continues to be an active, multi-generational congregation.  Together, our members are eager to worship and serve God in St. Anne and throughout the world.

Within the church, we have several opportunities for service:

Session:  the governing elders of our church.  Each elder serves on one of four commissions.

Trustees:  the commission responsible for the care of our building and grounds.

Nurture Commission:  the commission responsible for worship, christian education, and christian fellowship.

Witness Commission:  the commission responsible for evangelism, stewardship and mission.

Personnel Commission:  the commission responsible for the care of our employees and our volunteers

We reach out to our community and our world through:

C.A.F.E. (Concerned Action for the Elderly):  our church is a founding member of the CAFE board and has been instrumental in the building and care of the Northlake Senior Housing facility.

Ecumenical Community Thanksgiving Service:  our pastor and our church members have actively supported this service with their presence as well as their support.

Alcoholics Anonymous:  our church has opened our facility to this very important support group.  AA meets in our building each week.

Childrens' Coat and Clothes Closet Project:  members of our church have dedicated themselves to providing clothing to those who have little in our community.

Food Baskets:  members of our church have dedicated themselves to providing food baskets to needy families during the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter holidays.
