Passionate Spirituality..Radical Hospitality..Total Transformation

"...to be solitary is to be united:

alone in the eye of the storm, alone on the surface level

in order to be together in the swirling vortex of being."

Wild & Robust: The Adventure of Christian Humanism, William McNamara

Did you ever notice that folks in the midst of a group of people can be the most lonely in the world? With all this modern technology connecting us--cell phones stuck in the ear, computers, IPods--seemingly full life, yet this cacophony is but illusion.

This one Journeying, on the other hand, can be completely apart from others or right in their midst, and he or she finds great comfort in the Beloved's embrace--never, never lonely--though, at times apart.

Ultimately, our relationship with this phenomenal Mystery, involves us as individuals alone with our Love. It should not be about forms, formulas, rules and rigidity, but FREEDOM to roll passionately with the Beloved, making beautiful love, and taking a bite out of the fullness of life.  We end, climaxing in our total transformation.

Basking in the light of our Lover, however, sheds light on our imperfections, our sins, our missing the mark.  We must strive to repent, wash the stains away, in order to shine in love for all God hath made.  For we shall one day cease to live in this bodily existence; we shall die, and we want to be so radiant when we pass into Life.

One must empty to be filled with Christ.

Bl. Charles de Foucauld

Ugly deeds and unkind words

can be wiped clear by tears of repentance,

however odd and logically impossible that may seem.
