OUR CHURCH  HISTORY:

Family Bible Church started as a small home Bible study group in Gurnee, IL. It was started by Pastor Bob Aquino who started the first Bible study in his home. With Pastor Bob's leadership the group was burdened and challenged to start a church for the Filipino community. On September 6, 1996 the group was officially constituted as a local church. They were sponsored and commissioned by First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor under the leadership of Dr. Michael Brown. The church name was changed to Family Bible Church in order to expand the ministry to the growing diverse community of Lake County.

The mission of FICC is to honor and glorify God by exalting the Savior, evangelizing the sinners and equipping the saints.

Our Vision

The vision of FICC is to be a diverse church, winning and connecting people of all nations to the Lordship of Christ.

Our Pastors:

Rev. Dr. Bob Aquino 

Dr. Bob Aquino has earned his Bachelor of Theology from Baptist Bible Seminary, his M. A.  from Moody Graduate School, his Master of Religious Education  from Trinity Evangelical Seminary,  his Doctor of Ministry from Bakke Graduate Unibersity [formerly Northwest Graduate School of Ministry] in Seattle, Washington, and his Doctor of Philosophy from Louisiana Baptist University. He is also recepient of "Who's Who in America" for 2007.

He holds professional membership to American Association of Christin Counselors, American Academy of Ministry, and Evangelical Theological Society. He is presently the president of Fellowship of Filipino Christian Churches in the United States. Dr. Aquino is also a regular contributor [writer] to Asian Community Builder  in Chicago which primary purpose is to promote unity and harmony among Filipinos in the city. Outside of the his pastoral ministry, he travels frequently to do leadertship training among national pastors.

Pastor Cris Pascual 

Pastor Cris has served as Associate Pastor at Faith International Christian Church since 2003. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL and presently completing his Masters through Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary.
