Steve Greene (sgreene@SeymourNaz.org) became the Senior Pastor at Seymour First on June 1, 2002.  Pastor Greene is a graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Practical Theology.  He was Ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 1987.  With more than 23 years of pastoral experience, the Greenes have served churches in Indiana, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Illinois.  Just prior to coming to Seymour, Steve led a growing congregation in the rural community of Casey, Illinois, where he served for more than eight years.  Steve and his wife, Laurie, have been married for over 25 years.  The Greenes have three adult children; Ashley, Tyler and Travis.

Landon Yowell (lyowell@seymournaz.org) became the Youth Pastor at Seymour First on June 1, 2004.  Landon is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion.  He has held his District License in the Church of the Nazarene since June 2003.  Prior to coming on full-time at Seymour Landon worked part-time in Champaign, Illinois and also had an internship in Warren, Michigan.  Landon and Lynnee were married on May 22, 2004 at Seymour First.  Lynnee is a former resident of Seymour.  She graduated from Seymour High School in 2000 before going on to complete a degree in Early Childhood Education at Olivet Nazarene University.

Pastor Rick Wilson

Rick Wilson (rwilson@seymournaz.org) is our Director of Celebrate Recovery. While similar in style to many of the classic 12 step programs, Celebrate Recovery is based on biblical principles. “We don't hesitate to identify Jesus Christ as our Higher Power" says Rev. Wilson. “Meetings are very upbeat with a live band, uplifting music and a practical message followed by an optional small group discussion that provides for fellowship, accountability and application of what we have heard.”

Since receiving his local minister’s License, Rick has been recommended to the Southwest Indiana District Church of the Nazarene where he expects to receive his District Minister’s License this summer. He is currently working to complete his ordination requirements for ministry. Wilson and his wife, Teresa, are longtime residents of Seymour. Rick is known locally for his involvement in music and his local radio program.

Stephen Barrett (sbarrett@seymournaz.org) is our Congregational Care Pastor.  Stephen graduated from the Course of Study for the Church of the Nazarene in June 2006.  He has been an active member at Seymour First for a number of years, having served on both the Church Board and Sunday School Ministries Board.  Steve’s other ministry involvements include singing in the Choir, teaching, the Parrish Nurse program, and teaching an adult Bible study class on Wednesday evenings.  Pastor Barrett received his District Minister’s License in July 2005.  He and his wife, Lodema have 7 grown children and 11 grandchildren.

John Holt

John Holt (jholt@seymournaz.org) has been the Church Administrator at Seymour First since January 2004. John is a 1981 graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. He received his Masters of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago, Illinois in 1995.  In addition to office management, John’s secular work experience includes accounting, purchasing management, and computer network administration. He also has extensive background with the day to day operations of the church, having served on the Church Board, Finance Committee, as Stewardship Chairperson and Treasurer for many years. John and his wife Dorian are co-owners of Learning Adventures (www.learning-adventures.org), a ministry for Christian home educators. Dorian has authored three home schooling curriculum guides, and is a speaker and workshop presenter at national Home Education Conventions.  The Holts have one son, Ryan.
