LaPorte First Church of the Nazarene

Our Senior Adult class is set up for adults who are looking for God's guidance to many of today's pressing problems. It is designed for adults 35 years old and above. The teacher is Dave Mitchell.

The Young Adult class is geared for the adult facing some life-changing times, such as College, Career, Marriage, and Children. The class setting is very informal.

The Senior High class is for everyone going through those tough teen years. The class is here to help offer a Christian perspective to the many things facing our teens today. The teacher is Sharon England.

The Junior High class is for all those kids beginning the transition into the teenage years. As each kid grows and matures, new horizons are faced. With the help of the teacher, Julie Shields, the class is here to provide Christian insight. They are currently studying a Max Lucado book.

In the PreTeen class we focus on teaching the basics of Christian faith. We work with the children to learn about who God is, what the church is for, and where do I fit in. The class is taught by Cyndi McDonald, a public school teacher-helper.

Just as in school, these early years are vital in teaching your children, especially when it comes to teaching them about God. The Primary class aims at building on the fundamentals of who God is, what the Church is for, and what my role in all this is. The class is taught by Pat Tucker.

In the Kindergarten class many of the most famous stories of the Bible are taught, such as Jonah and the whale, Moses and the Ten Commandments, and the birth of Jesus. While working to help teach the children how to relate in a classroom setting, the teacher Norma Kassinger, also takes the Bible stories and brings them to the kids in fun and interesting ways.
