Canteen on duty at 'Operation Remington' (Indiana) - staffed by Envoy Audrey Schneider & Holly Shrank of the Lafayette EDS team. 'Served over 100 people that day.

The Emergency Disaster Services team begun in  Feb. of 2006,  

serves in 'Zone Four' of The Salvation Army's regional response

plan, which is a 9 county region east, west and northwest of the

Lafayette area.

Persons wishing to join this team and be able to

respond in times

of disaster as Salvation Army volunteers must first

take the Basic

Principles course.  If you wish additional details, please

e-mail us or telephone (765-742-0006) to get on waiting

list for next course when offered!  20 people needed for seminar

to be held locally. As of 2/26/08  we have 13 waiting.

Salvation Army Divisional Disaster representatives serve dozens of families with direct aid at "Operation Remington", in early February, to aid flood victims of n/e Indiana. Lafayette's Canteen was on duty serving the public & volunteers all day.
