It's a joy to study God's word, share our challenges and victories each Saturday morning. 9:30 a.m. Current focus: I and II Peter. Join us for coffee (or juice) and an hour of blessing.

A few notes from a recent Bible discussion session we guy had:

(We're focusing on I and II Peter, New Testament)

from the 4th chapter /  discussion notes:

Arm yourselves with Christ's attitudes:

> faithfulness        > awareness of and staying away from sinful activities & environments

> love others   >  be hospitable  > endure persecutions  for Jesus' sake   > use your gifts

> exercise self-control    > pray with a clear conscience and mind

Questions posed:   how do our attitudes and actions change when we become a Christian

Noted:   reversal of attitudes and actions in Peter's life and these are important examples . . .

his perspective changed dramatically after Christ's resurrection.

Next week:  chapter 5.

Prayer focus:   for our wives,  for youth events of the church, for Scott S.  and Mark's family

God continues to work in our Corps (church) and we acknowledge it.   He is a God of miracles.  A strnager stopped by and asked for prayer in the final moments of our get together; praise the Lord!

From I Peter 3 (8 - chapter 4:2)  from our recent study & discussions:

WHAT DOES GOD EXPECT US TO DO  /  NOT DO:

A.  Suffer for doing good if need be

B.  Don't return EVIL for evil, but give blessings instead

C.  The tongue -  control it!  Speech is mighty.

D.  Persevere -  endure with God's help, which is assured

E.  Share Christ's good news - the Gospel still changes lives.

F.  Symbolize your faith somehow -  use a conversation-opener.

Simple things can provoke a response for you to have an

opportunity to witness for the Lord
