Alumni

Greetings once again from your Alumni Committee that has doubled in size since our last communiqué. Members are: Karen (Forkenbrock) Eddy '66 who is serving as the Alumni Rep, Bernice (Boller) Erichsen '48, Manny Pasquil '55, Margaret (McGuire) Deppish '56, Mary Kay (Hinitt) Paxton '56, Kathy (Parrick) Robinett '57, and Shirley (Parrick) Carroll '63.
The Committee is in the midst of completing plans for the annual Alumni Banquet to be held Saturday, May 28th at the Knights of Columbus Hall on West 7th Street in Junction City. This year our theme will be ALOHA, so if you intend to come, please wear appropriate clothing to give our "night of fellowship" a festive touch. Complete the form found in the newsletter and return it to the address above with a check for the dinner & perhaps a little extra to help defray our expenses.
Although we intend to HONOR all classes ending in 0 and 5 beginning with 1945, we always give special recognition to the class celebrating its 50th reunion. The class had 14 graduates: Archie Johnston, Duane Langvardt, Dick Wolters, Darrell Spittles, Mary Lou (Cole) Aker, Manuel Pasquil, Danny Dreiling, Jack Deines, Tom Nolan, +Joe Schad, Jerry Gillen, Shari (Johnson) Head, Myron Klein, and +Salli (Johnson) Hoag.
We will also "welcome" the graduating class of '05 into our ranks as SX Alums. The graduating seniors are: Jillian Avilla, Jennifer Gfeller, Robert "Logan" Gustafson, Christopher Heard, Walter Jarnot, Tempest Price, Russell Sinnard, and Eric Whitaker.

BITS 'n PIECES
Dr. Kevin Bryant, '83 graduate of St. Xavier's and son of Gary and Michelle (McCormick '60) Bryant of Junction City was featured in the JC Daily Union recently. Kevin, a professor of sociology at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS, has merged his love for maps and criminology studies to test a method of mapping crime with the Atchison County Sheriff's Office in his efforts to assist law enforcement fight crime.
Many thanks and kudos are extended to all alums who responded to the call by the 19th Annual Benefit Auction Committee for donations to defray school expenses. $61,000+ was raised this year according to co-chairs Kim (Tracy '84) Coy and Lee Breidenstein.
Thanks also to the alums who sent in their e-mail addresses for file purposes only and who are willing to pull up Rams 'N Ewes by going to the website developed by George McMillin, SX booster, and son of Alvin '52 and Imelda McMillin. The website is: http://stxavier.net and scroll to Alumni Fellowship. It seems that most grads want us to mail them a copy of the newsletter as in the past. We will continue to do this, however, it would be most helpful if you would pull up the newsletter on your own by going to the website since our mailing list totals 1,041. Please give us your email address for file purposes only and NOT to send you the newsletter via the net. Keep in mind that the newsletter is published twice yearly-November and March.
