Ministering Internationally

One Child Fund

Through the national ministries of the Church of God of Prophecy, we care for hundreds of orphans and needy children in 10 nations around the world including India, Haiti, Indonesia, Mali, West Africa, Rwanda, East Africa, and the Ukraine.
Many of these children have been rescued from deep poverty, starvation, and death on the streets and even garbage dumps of some of the world’s poorest nations. Your donations helps us support national ministries that house, feed, clothe, teach, and disciple these children.

“All mission funds are dispersed directly to the national leadership for operation of each territorial work. Your giving makes it possible for field overseers to live, provide leadership of their nation, and distribute funds to meet the many pressing needs.”

India
Reshma
RESHMA KHAN
Born: 2001
Place of birth - Delhi
Language Knon - Hindi

Reshma’s Parents are refugee from Bangladesh. Reshma, along with her parents, her four sisters and three brothers were staying at the slum. Her parents were “rag pickers” but since they did not have any identity with them when they arrived in India, the authorities were constantly pursuing her parents to put them in jail for months at a time. Her parents hid separately for days together in different places and out of their slum for months together. They eventually left and no one know where they are.

When her parents were away the children would beg at houses for food. They didn’t have clothes and were open to all kind of evil, nudity and abuse. With absolutely nobody to look after them, Reshma and 2 of her sisters were put in the children’s home.

Reshma was tough to handle and take care of at first her but now the child has improved drastically in every part of her life. Since coming to the home in June 2005, she is doing well in her studies and has secured more than 85% marks in her English medium School.

Rwanda
Safi
Good news for Shafi

Shafi is one of our orphans who was found on the street and brought to church orphanage by the late Bishop Karera, Shafi’s mother and father were both killed in the genocide. He survived but lost contact with his elder brother who went with people into Congo. Because their parents were gone, Shafi’s brother decided to remain in Congo until all Rwandan people were ordered to come home.

When this young man came back to Rwanda he was taken to the rehabilitation camp where he inquired if there is any of his family members who survived and he was told that his brother is in the orphanage at the Church of God of Prophecy. He is very grateful to the Church for caring for his young brother and all the people who are involved with providing for him.

This young man is sickly and is suffering from wounds inflicted on him by gun shots and beatings by UNAMIR soldiers during his stay in the forests of Congo. Please pray for his healing.
