The Owensboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church
began October 21, 1910 with the Rev. W. T. Galloway
presiding at an organization meeting of the church.
A house was purchased on the corner of Ninth St. and Werner Avenue.
In April 1914, the Pleasant Ridge congregation merged with the
Owensboro Church and the Rev. O.A. Barbee became pastor.
During this time, the congregation moved to a church at Ninth
and Cedar Streets and continued at that location unitl January 1966
when it moved to new facilities erected at 910 Booth Avenue.
