Pleasant Hill-A Great Place to Come Home To!

"Pastor Stokes", as he is affectionately called, preached his first sermon at the church in November of 1997, however was not elected pastor until the spring of 1998. Under the leadership of Pastor & Sis. Stokes, the church has undergone many changes. New lighting has been added inside and out, including chandeliers, ceiling fans, steeple lights. The entire lower floor was painted including graphics for class rooms, office, and restroom facilities. A modern, lighted sign was added, to replace the outdated sign originally installed in 1967. New tinted glass doors were added to make the entry more aesthetic and inviting. Metal roofing has been placed on both buildings with vinyl siding replaced on the fellowship hall. Many of these projects were completed by members of the congregation.

Pastor and Sis Stokes, and the congregation of Pleasant Hill, invite everyone to come out and celebrate Trigg Counties oldest Pentecostal Church. Pastor Stokes say’s they sometimes have vacationing guest from the lakes area, but generally the congregation is made up of Trigg County residents. All are welcome to come this week-end, or to any of our services. Everyone is welcome at Pleasant Hill regardless of your past or present. “That’s why we use the slogan, “Pleasant Hill, It’s a Great Place to Call Home!” , pastor Stokes smiled.
