Pastor Emmanuel Perneil Young was born on August 20, 1970, in Georgetown Kentucky, to James Rene' & Martha L. Young-Payne. He is a 1988 graduate of Bryan Station High School of Lexington, Kentucky.

Reverend Young served in the USAF from October 1989- October 1992, and completed tours of duty in Denver Colorado; Okinawa,Japan; and Omaha, Nebraska, before returning to his hometown of Stamping Ground Kentucky in September 1992.

His formal religious education and Christian service began at the Great Crossing Missionary Baptist Church, of Georgetown Kentucky, under Dr. Victor McKinney, Jr, in May 18, 1986, with confession of faith, and baptizm. Pastor Young served as a Jr. Deacon from August 1986-September 1990. He then moved his letter to 1st Baptist Church of Stamping Ground under Rev. H. M. Dailey, serving as a Deacon, & Trustee, from September 1992-March 1996.

     After acknowledging the call to the preaching Ministry in January 1996, he was licensed to Preach on March 31, 1996, under Reverend William Beasley @ 1st BC of Stamping Ground, Kentucky. 

After prayer and concideration Bro. Young united with the First Baptist Church of Maddoxtown, and served faithfully under Rev. John C. Travis. While at Maddoxtown he served Elizabeth Predestinarian Baptist Church of Richmond as Interim Pastor, assisting them with the transitional perod of becoming a Missionary Baptist Church from June 2001-August 2001. Maddoxtown later ordained Pastor Young to further work in January 2006. 

Reverend Young remained at Maddoxtown until January 2007, when the Lord issued a call to assist Pastor Joseph McDowell, at the First Uttingertown Baptist Church of Lexington until March 11, 2009. On March 11, the Pleasant Hill MBC, of Greensburg extended the call of Pastoral leadership to him. He continues to serve not only his Pastoral Assignment at Pleasant Hill, but also maintains a consistant relationship with his Home Church of Uttingertown.

     He has served as Ex-Officio President State Ministers & Messengers 2004-2009, Vice Moderator Consolidated District M & M 2005-2007, Reporter State M & M 2009-present, GABKY Exec Board Member 1996-present, Howards Creek District M & M Secretary 2009-present.

He is married to the former Michelle Reed, of Zion Hill/Midway Kentucky (August 7, 1999), and they are the proud & prayerful parents of Kayla, Kaycee and Emmani Young.
