We were a blessed people indeed to have had as our founder, the Most Rev. Max J. Broussard. Archbishop Broussard was a wise, holy and effective leader who had a tremendous anointing of the Holy Spirit upon his life. His teaching and guidance as shepherd has affected many who have had the pleasure of knowing him. It is with his memory that this diocese goes forward in the power and presence of Jesus to proclaim the Good News. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

The Diocese of the Holy Trinity rejoiced at the ordination to the Sacred Priesthood of the Rev. Deacon Janin Ryniker Goff.

Reverend Goff was ordained at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Crowley, Louisiana on Saturday, December 27, 2008, the feast of St. John the Evangelist. Ordaining prelates were Bishop Broussard, diocesan ordinary; and, Bishop John Michael Smilie, Bishop in the Church of God.

The Reverend Goff will continue in her ministries of Hospice care and chaplaincy, while attempting to plant a new church ministry in the Abbeville area.
