The History of Shekinah Glory CFC.
Shekinah Glory Christian Fellowship Church was founded by pastor Ronald D. Harbin, Sr. in January of 2005. Pastor Harbin has been in the ministry since he was 14 and preaching the Gospel since the age of 19. Shekinah Glory Christian Fellowship Church currently has a membership of approximately 500 and counting. During the early stage of the Church, chairs, pulpit furniture, a baptismal pool, a new organ and drums were purchased. Much hard work was put into the development and the renovation of our church which included painting, building, cleaning, providing transportation, and the list goes on. The Lord has truly blessed us with God gifted people. The vision of this church is to evangelize the un-churched; create an environment of brotherly love, Biblically train Christians in the ministries, and create business opportunities within and outside of our Church. Shekinah plans to be a visible presence in the eye and vocal presence of the ears of media, television, radio, internet, etc., to reach people for the kingdom of God. Shekinah’s web page address is www.sgcfc.com and you can currently listen to the Sunday worship services at 3:00 to 3:30 PM on Praise 94.9 FM as well as seven other AM Radio Stations across the United States. Pastor Ronald D. Harbin, Sr. and the Shekinah Glory Family, opened their church doors to the victims of hurricane Katrina on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. That night approximately 100 evacuees were fed and given a warm and safe haven to spend the night. Several evacuees came and went including Charmaine Neville, the niece of the singing Neville Brothers. Shekinah Glory Full Christian Fellowship Church was only 8 months old at the time, but Pastor Harbin was willing to assist these sheep in any way possible. All evacuees were provided with three (3) meals a day, shelter in a air conditioning facility, hygiene products and assistance with acquiring their medication and/or transportation to the store. Our first year started off with a bang, but
THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
