Pastor Nick Scarpa
We have had several men fill the pulpit here at Elm Street since our inception ninety-plus years ago. As we began a search for God's man to lead us through the rest of the 21st century, God called Pastor Scarpa to come on an interim basis to help us through our search.
A one month interim period became two, then six and finally we knew that God had called him to stay here at Elm Street. Many resumes came in from men with Doctorates, Masters and even a couple of Professors, but we were waiting on God for a messenger who walked with God and would be faithful to Him and His Word.
Pastor began his time with us in December of 2003 and since that time he has grown along with us and we look forward to what the future holds for Elm Street.
Pastor Nick and his wife Amy have brought contemporary praise to lift our hearts in song to the throne room of God. His daughter Jade (19) attends Northern Essex Community college. His son David (10) runs the projector for the worship slides.
Pastor Nick loves to preach the Word, encourage and exhort and counsel where needed. His heart is to see that every man, woman and young person grow into the fullness of the Christian life.
