Christian Education at St. David's:

For Children -
St. David's Church School program begins each September with a well-attended registration supper put on by the Vestry for children and their families. The year ends in the first weekend in June with "Scholarship Sunday" when our church school and teachers are recognized.
The material we teach in Pre-K through Young Teens is a Lectionary-Based Program from Living the Good News a division of The Morehouse Group. Along with the Sunday morning classes, which take place during the first half of the 10 AM Holy Eucharist (children come in at the Offertory and join their parents for Communion), a variety of activities have supplemented the Sunday school program this past year: advent wreath making; a Christmas pageant/ musical; Leek Soup made for St. Davids Day; Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner; and a Lenten / Easter pageant called "The Promise". This summer, during the last week of August , St. David's children will join in the Vacation Bible School to be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Harwich.

For Adults -
There is a wide variety of offerings for adult education and spiritual growth. Programs this year have included an ongoing Friday morning Bible study with the Rector, a Wednesday afternoon Education for Ministry (EFM ) group, and the VIA MEDIA series. EFM is a four year program whtich studies the Old and New Testaments, church history and theology. The VIA MEDIA series explores a range of issues through video presentations and discussion groups.

We have participated in the anti-racism dialogues on the Cape; workshops on Creation and Ecology; a Lenten Quiet Day retreat; domestic violence awareness program; understanding our personality type differences using the Meyer's Briggs Type Indicator and the Enneagram; several book discussion groups; and programs on substance abuse organized by the Cape Cod Ecumenical Recovery Advocacy Committee (CCERAG).
