SCHOLARSHIP SUNDAY

In June, at a 10:00 AM service, the Scholarship Committee will be making awards for the year 2009. All applicants must be members of St. David's parish and formally apply to the Scholarship Committee in writing. Strong consideration is given to the applicants visibility with his or her contributions to the life of the parish (church school attendance, acolyting, youth group, reading lessons, participating in pageants, etc.).

Scholarship awards are not limited to high school seniors' and any member of St. David's pursuing a course of study is eligible to apply for evaluation by the committee. Applications for awards are available at the church office or by calling (508) 394-4222, and must be received by the Scholarship Committee by May 14th.

The Scholarship Committee encourages parish support for this program. The always increasing cost of books and tuition make our awards very helpful to the recipients. Make your contribution payable to: St. David's Episcopal Church (noting in the lower left hand corner of your check that it is for the Scholarship Fund) and either mail it to the church office at 205 Old Main Street, South Yarmouth, MA 02664, or simply put it in the collection plate on Sunday morning.
