BEAM ESL Classes
BEAM ESL provides free instruction in English grammar and vocabulary, American culture and customs, and basic neighborhood services (banks, schools, hospitals, public transportation). Classes progress to conversation and self-expression in the English language. BEAM is also a great way for students who recently arrived in Boston to meet new people.
Classes are free and open to any seeking instruction. No registration is required. People may come to every class, attend once a week, or drop in whenever they are available. All are welcome. No one is turned away. BEAM also provides volunteer teachers with a valuable experience and greater sensitivity to the issues and challenges faced by individuals and families who have recently emigrated to this country.
Classes are held Tuesday-Thursday from 6:30-8pm at St. Luke's & St. Margaret's Church in Allston, MA. For full information, visit their website at www.beamesl.org.
