02/19/06 – Annual Meeting for FY 2005
The Annual Meeting of Saint Nicholas Ministries, Inc. to close out Fiscal Year 2005 was held on February 19, 2006.
03/01/06 – Ash Wednesday 2006
Saint Nicholas Mission observed Ash Wednesday 2006 with services in Saint John’s Church (Winthrop) and in Saint Luke’s Church (Malden).
04/09-16/06 – Holy Week 2006
Saint Nicholas Mission celebrated Holy Week 2006 “on pilgrimage” with a full schedule of services:
Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday were celebrated with our friends at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church (Malden).
Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday were observed with our friends at Saint John’s Episcopal Church (Winthrop).
07/26/06 – Committal of Carolyn Proctor
Father David read Committal Prayers for Carolyn Proctor on July 26, 2006 in Winthrop Cemetery (Winthrop).
08/09/06 – Funeral for Lena “Lee” Larsen
Father David represented Saint Nicholas Mission at the Requiem Mass offered for our dear friend Lena “Lee” Larsen in Saint John’s Episcopal Church (Winthrop) on August 9, 2006.
09/10/06 – Memorial Mass on the 5th Anniversary of 9/11
Father David preached at a 5th Anniversary Memorial Mass for the repose of the souls of those who perished on September 11, 2001. The Mass was a shared Liturgy with our friends at Saint John’s Episcopal Church (Winthrop).
09/16/06 – Funeral for Mary Hare
Father David celebrated the Holy Eucharist during Funeral Services held for our dear friend Mary Hare in Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church (Malden) on September 16, 2006.
11/22/06 – Annual Mass of Thanksgiving
On Thanksgiving Eve, we gathered in the sanctuary of Saint John’s Episcopal Church (Winthrop) for our 8th Annual Mass of Thanksgiving.
12/09/06 – Feast of Saint Nicholas
Many guests joined The Mission Parish for the Feast of Saint Nicholas of Myra on Saturday, December 9, 2006. Our Festival Eucharist was celebrated in the sanctuary of Saint John’s Episcopal Church (Winthrop).
12/20/06 – Requiem Mass for Alfonso Paglilunga
Father David offered a Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Alfonso Paglilunga in Saint Florian’s Chapel (Chelsea) on December 20, 2006. The Mass was timed to start at the exact hour Alfonso’s Funeral Mass would begin in Italy.
12/24/06 – Feast of the Nativity of the Lord
In 2006, The Mission Parish joined our friends at Saint John’s Episcopal Church (Winthrop) for the celebration of the Nativity of the Lord with a 6:00 p.m. “Family Mass.” Saint John’s Choir then joined the Mission Parish for our 11:00 p.m. “Midnight Mass.” Both Masses were celebrated on Christmas Eve in the sanctuary of Saint John’s.
