Welcome to Dennis Union Church

If you’re new to the area, if you’re thinking of attending church but you’re not sure about where you might “fit in,” or if you’ve simply been away from church for a while, we’d love to meet you. Dennis Union Church is a friendly parish community, full of enthusiasm and ready to reach out to those in need.

We are a congregation of friendly and open people who have discovered the freedom and joy of genuine faith. We are parents, singles, seniors, teens, and children who live out our faith daily in our varied walks of life. We come from a broad mix of denominational backgrounds, including Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Baptist, Episcopal, Lutheran, and Methodist.

We offer Christian education for all ages, and we’re blessed with the gifts and skills of Cindy Fiscus , our Christian Education Director and Youth Fellowship Coordinator, who oversees our several youth programs and coordinates all Church School activities. We offer professionally staffed Nursery care on Sundays at 9 :00 a.m. and church school year round. Our Youth Groups are for grades 5-12.

We have many engaging and stimulating weekly Adult Education classes as well as a Book Study group for adults, that meet throughout the week at various times. We enjoy a great music ministry with Maggie Bossi as our organist and choir director. We are also blessed to have Bette Anne Crowell and Barbara Wells directing various mens and woman's choirs, as well as our bell choir.

We are an established church with a rich history, building upon hospitality and faith-sharing with all ages. Central to our ministry is a strong mission of outreach. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Fellowship hour follows the Sunday services.

We provide an opportunity and atmosphere for the worship of God. Welcome to all who wish to worship and learn with us.

Rain or Shine!

The Auction Committee has been hard at work getting ready for our biggest fund-raising event of the year.

The Auction Pick-Up Crew has been working year round collecting cast-off items from peoples’ homes. They meet every Tuesday morning at The Mercantile for coffee, then they meet in the church parking lot (around 9:30 a.m.) to divide up the work. As they start moving furniture around and doing down-to-the-wire pick ups, they can use lots of extra hands (and trucks if you have them!)

The sorting has begun! We need lots of help. We meet at church on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 and sort through all of the treasures collected during the year. There are many categories to help with…boutique, linens, books, jewelry, furniture, etc.

It’s unquestionably the best opportunity for fellowship and fun of the year.

We hope you will all remember to wear your DUC tee-shirts on the day of the Auction. We have several for sale in the church office ($5.00) for anyone who wants one.

The Energy Star Award is a national award granted by the EPA (press release here). Also, the Commonwealth recently recognized DUC on their web site as one of Massachusetts’s “Energy Leaders” (web page).

The entire 9:00 a.m. Service is web cast so that you won't miss one of Sunday's sermons and our wonderful musical arrangements. We look forward to having you join us! A DVD copy of any service will also be available for a nominal charge of $3.25 from our A/V Committee. We hope to make them available at Fellowship hours and also in the church office or by special request.
