A Note from Cindy.....

Happy Autumn!  My favorite time of year! 
Here, at Dennis Union Church, we are ready for the new school year!  Please take a look at all the worship, educational, mission, and social  activities ahead for the children and youth.

As our children prepare for their new school year, won't you join me in this prayer?   

Let's pray for all of our students, particularly those who are entering new schools this year.  Please give them courage, peace, and joy. Let them make friends easily and connect well with their teachers. Let them find their security in You, Lord. Please sharpen their minds and help them learn. Build godly character in them. Help them let go of what others think and to love the unlovable.  Let the unfailing love of parents be their assurance of a loving God who cares for them and provides for them. Finally, we pray for teachers, faculty and staff, that they would be positive role models. May they have a genuine concern for students, and sincere heart for their profession. Amen.

YOUTH GROUPS ARE HERE!!

November 1 – Communion Sunday ~ Food Pantry ~ Breakfast Meeting for Confirmation students

November 1 – Youth Fellowship, 4:00-6:00 p.m.

November 8 – Confirmation Class, 4:00-6:00 p.m.

November 13/14 – MACUCC Confirmation Retreat

Craigville Conference Center, Friday 7:00 p.m. to Saturday 4:00 p.m.

November 22 – Day of Hospitality, Youth Fellowship  after service 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.               

November 24 – Confirmation Class, 5:00-8:00 p.m.                    

November 29 – ADVENT WORKSHOP, 10:00 a.m.

AUDIO/VIDEO PEOPLE NEEDED

Dennis Union Church has a need for some additional people to help with filming our regular Sunday church services, as well as weddings, funerals, special occasions, etc….  This is a fun activity which is not as difficult to learn as you may think.  One training session and you’ll be ready to go!!  Our hope is that we will get enough people so that the commitment would be only one time per month.  Anyone who is high school age and older is eligible.  Bring a friend and learn together!!  If interested, please e-mail Sue Martin at suemartin225@gmail.com.  Training sessions will be at your convenience.  Come see our new equipment up in the balcony, learn a new skill, and have some fun!
