The Reverend Dale Rosenberger, Senior Minister of Dennis Union Church, Dennis, Massachusetts, is a 1979 graduate of Yale Divinity School. Originally a native of the Midwest, born and raised in suburban Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Rosenberger has been senior pastor of multiple staff churches since his late twenties. He has served churches of the United Church of Christ in Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, and then Connecticut. Areas of special interest in parish ministry include preaching, planning and leading worship, and the teaching ministry of the church. But Dale also emphasizes the local and global mission of the local church—including the work of Habitat for Humanity. His first book was published by Brazos Press in 2005 and he currently has a book contract with Pilgrim Press.
His vision for local church ministry emphasizes keeping Christ at the center of all things, deepening the faith of the congregation by generous and faithful praise. He wants to pay careful attention to the time-honored tasks of parish ministry, letting our opportunities for service become a source for faithful reflection upon the work of the local church at a time when the context for ministry has been significantly altered, so that Christ’s church might rise up in new ways for a new day.
Dale has two daughters, Greta and Lise, in college at Hamilton and Middlebury respectively. He loves his life on Cape Cod, reading and travel, cooking and music, especially the fusion of jazz with gospel. He enjoys sports like tennis, hockey, and baseball, and yes, this pastor rollerblades.
