WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS

 The Dennis Union Women's Fellowship has awarded two scholarships each in the amount of $1,500.  The Esther W. Howes Memorial Scholarship was presented at  the  awards ceremony  at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School to Alyce Currier, a Dennis resident, who plans to attend Tufts University and is hoping to pursue a career in journalism or art.  She ranks 4th in a very competitive class of 258, has taken all Honors and Advanced Placement courses, and has been active in her school and the community.

The Doris "Chris" Harriman Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Katherine Tobin, a Yarmouth resident and member of our church, who currently attends Cape Cod Community College and is in the Nursing Program.  Her long-term goal is to do missionary work in Central America addressing health problems in the community.  She is hoping to spend the Spring semester in the Dominican Republic studying at a university in Santo Domingo.
