Our Welcome Statement
Welcome to The First Church of Christ, Congregational, in Bedford (United Church of Christ). We welcome those of every color, culture, creed, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation and gender identity, and economic circumstance; we welcome young and old, married an single people into full participation in the life and ministry of this church. We celebrate family in all of its diverse forms, and support all loving and committed relationships. We rejoice in the presence of children among us.

We invite all to join in every aspect of the life and mission of this church. We commit ourselves to making justice and inclusion a reality in this congregation and in the world. We strive to serve others, and to love our neighbor as ourselves, as Jesus taught. We rely upon God's unconditional love and grace to be our help and guide.

Worship With Us

From homecoming in September through June, worship services are held in the Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m., followed by fellowship coffee hour. We provide child care for infants and small children. Summer worship begins at 9:30 a.m. During July and August we meet in our air-conditioned Music Chapel.

Classes for 3s and Pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten through 8th grade attend part of worship before going to their classes (from Labor Day through mid-June). However, children and youth are always welcome to stay through the entire service. Materials for quiet activity are available in the pews and in the entry area.

What's New?
The ForMinistry main image server went down on June 23rd. On July 7th they informed us that they were able to restore some, but not all, photos and clip art to our website. I have "hidden" some of the photo pages until I have a chance to rebuild them.
