God Is Still Speaking

            New Mashpee Congregational Church

                    United Church of Christ

                Gathering since May 4, 2008.

Where are you meeting?

We worship in the building at the Popponesset Marketplace in New Seabury, formerly known as “Hannah’s”.  Sunday services begin at 10:00 AM.

Do you have land?

We do not have land at this time.  However, there have been conversations with the principals of Mashpee Commons regarding a site in the East Steeple Street/Trout Pond extension.  Possible construction is several years away.

Does Mashpee really need another church?

Our new community church is proving to be a real asset to the Town. Our outreach to the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod, Inc. and our new Prayer Shawl Ministry are being well received.  Our growing music program has already attracted enough people to create a church choir of 16 voices (and growing) and two hand bell choirs.  By the way, you are most welcome to join us!

What specific things are you doing?

We sponsor open houses, hold gatherings and special events such as the Christmas Eve Community Candlelight Service and the Easter sunrise service.  We have over 20 people participating in the Friday evening dinner program at the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod.

How may I get involved?

That’s easy!  Go back to the main page and send Jim Scovil an email or call 508-477-9211.  He’s anxious to hear from you!
