Popponesset Marketplace in New Seabury. 

DIRECTIONS: 

            Services are held every Sunday in Popponesset Marketplace in New Seabury.  Directions:  from the Mashpee Rotary, follow the sign to New Seabury on Great Neck South Road.  Go 2.8 miles and enter the main New Seabury entrance on the left.  Take the first right onto Rock Landing Road, following signs to the “Popponesset Inn.”  Look for a parking attendant as you approach the Marketplace.  

GENERAL INFORMATION: 

            Worship begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. and is about one hour long. Communion is usually celebrated on the second Sunday of the month, with the exception of World Communion which comes on the first Sunday in October.  Refreshments are served each week immediately following the conclusion of the service. 

            Music is a vital part of our worship.  Under the direction of Cathy Bonnett, our services include special anthems and solos by our vocal and hand bell choirs, and outstanding guest musicians and vocalists.   

             Generally, Rev. Scovil designs the services around the lectionary.   

            An offering is taken each week.  However, guests are not expected to make financial gifts.  Rather, their presence is their gift.  In partnership with the greater church, special offerings are taken during the year including: One Great Hour of Sharing: Strengthen the Church; Neighbors in Need; and, The Christmas Fund.  For information on these special offerings, go to www.UCC.org and look for them using the search engine provided on the main page.
