Welcome to the Boxborough United Church of Christ

Who We Are

We are a diverse group of caring Christians who offer a loving concern for our church family and others. Our programs address varied interests and needs. We seek to enrich our spirituality, which will help us cope with the pressures that modern living imposes on personal and family life. Furthermore, we look beyond ourselves to extend our spiritual and worldly resources to others in need.

Our History

Our church was founded in 1784, a year after our town was incorporated. We are proud of our Congregational heritage and the church's role in Boxborough's history. Both town and church have undergone many changes, but we have remained dedicated to meeting the needs of the people of Boxborough, its surrounding communities and the world in changing times.

Join Our Church Family

As a congregation of the United Church of Christ — a dynamic, inclusive, Protestant denomination — we share a common faith in Jesus Christ and are committed to the faithful witness to the Gospel. We invite all to attend our worship services, small group ministries, music programs, and missions and community outreach activities to see first hand the welcoming spirit and strong commitment we have to our church, our community, each other, and God.

Our Vision

With our hearts and hands extended, we seek to know the living Christ.

  • That we may ever grow as a compassionate family where all are welcomed, valued, and nurtured;
  • Where all grow inwardly in faith and outwardly in action, serving God’s world locally and globally; and
  • Where God is worshipped and served with passion by all generations united as one.
