United Church of Christ, Congregational
...a Community Church of Boxborough, Mass.

Vision Statement

With our hearts and hands extended, we seek to know the living Christ:

  • That we may ever grow as a compassionate family where all are welcomed, valued, and nurtured;
  • Where all grow inwardly in faith and outwardly in action, serving God’s world locally and globally; and
  • Where God is worshipped and served with passion by all generations united as one.

Mission Statement

The purpose of The United Church of Christ, Congregational of Boxborough is to bind us together as followers of Jesus Christ in the worship of God.  We recognize our human frailties and look to the Church to reconcile us with ourselves, others and God. We seek to understand and make God's word a reality in our lives. We declare our Church to be a fellowship of Christians.  We gather together for worship and service striving to practice God's principles in word and deed.

We are a diverse group of caring Christians who offer a loving concern for our church family and others.  Our programs address varied interests and needs.  Our vision is to meet the needs of people in the wider community as it grows and changes.  We are proud of the role of our church in local history and our Congregational and United Church of Christ heritage.

We seek to increase our spirituality, thereby helping us cope with the pressures that modern living impose on personal and family life. Furthermore we look beyond ourselves to extend our spiritual and worldly resources to others in need.

WE LONG FOR THE POWER OF GOD, KNOWN TO US AS CREATOR, CHRIST, AND HOLY SPIRIT, TO BE A VITAL FORCE IN OUR LIVES AND THE WORLD.
