Church School for Pre-K through 5th Grade
Welcome back! Rally Sunday is fast approaching, and we wanted to
give you a preview of what to expect in Sunday School. We will
continue to have children's communion on the first Sunday of every
month in the old sanctuary. In addition, we have a new curriculum
for this year called Diving Into the Bible Children will meet most
of the time with age mates to learn about how the Bible was
written, some of the important stories of New and Old Testaments and
where we can find God's covenant with us in the Bible. Learning
activities will include reading, acting, games, music, prayer and
discussion (varying by age group). By having smaller groups again,
we hope to encourage children to connect with their peers and their
teachers. They will still have the experience of large group
participation through the children's worship service on Communion
Sunday and occasional activities that combine classes.

bring them to the CE table at Rally Sunday or email/mail them to
Susie Allen ( susieallen@mac.com ) We will also have copies
available on Sunday if you forget.
We are still scheduling teachers for the fall term (which teaches
through stories of Old Testament and Advent), so please contact
Tineke (978-263-1611 or TCVan@comcast.net) if you would be willing
to participate in some way, small or large. You don't need to know
a lot about the Bible to teach this curriculum; you just need to be
willing to spend time with the kids for a few Sundays. Also, if you
have a special gift (music, gardening, art, crafts, storytelling,
organizing etc.) that you would like to share with the kids this
year, please let us know so we can work it in to the curriculum for
a one-time or multiple time contributution in the fall or spring.
If we have good weather on Rally Sunday, we hope to be outside and
include a rather active game in Sunday school, so please feel free
to dress you children in sneakers etc.
